After nearly three decades of serving the Goochland area, Gunn’s Pharmacy on Broad Street in Manakin-Sabot filled its last prescription on Oct. 7. “It’s just the right time,” owner Earl Gunn said Monday, as he neared his last day of operation, though that doesn’t mean the decision was an easy one. Gunn and his wife Gunn Sally opened their business in March 1986, and, over the years, they have come to think of many of their customers as family.
