Hi! I am an undergraduate architecture student with a strong interest in sustainable design, innovative materials, as well as building spaces that are focused on their primary users above everything else.
Alongside studies, I am also a digital artist, specialising in visualisations and illustrations that complement architectural work as well as portraiture. Eager to expand skills and portfolio through freelance opportunities.

Stockport Fabrics

This is a production centre and commuity centre based in Edgeley, a lower income neighbourhood in Stockport.
Synopsis All profits feed back into Edgeley; they are used for maintenance of community spaces and grants for local businesses and students.
Second-hand clothes are bought from locals, cut up and re-stitched into designer pieces, which are sold outside Edgeley for high prices.

The program consists of a production centre, private offices to handle orders and deliveries, living spaces and community areas.
The form of the original building was taken and extruded to allude to the original form, and to ease the installation of services (e.g. bathrooms located in approximately the same place across floor plans).

I started off extruding the existing building; the resulting shape aids with future reuse as well as adhering to factory standards. Then, the grid was applied, inspired the pattern found in tweed. This grid applied to both the floor plan and the facades.
The next step was to define vertical circulation. The ceiling was inconsistent throughout the exisiting building. However, instead of building up to make up for the difference, I embraced this irregularity. A ramp was incorporated inside the building, leading from the offices to the seminar room.

Stockport Fabrics is managed by four key roles, each overseeing a vital aspect of the operation.
Collection manager: Responsible for gathering clothing from residents across Stockport.
Processing manager: Sorts and cleans garments, categorizing them by color, quality, and condition.
Design manager: Develops new designs and curates weekly exhibitions.
Community manager: Organizes events, including local business fairs, workshops, seminars, and career days.

Stockport Fabrics is a clothing production and community hub designed for Edgeley, a historically overlooked area of Stockport.
The concept focuses on repurposing second-hand clothing—locals sell their garments, which are then deconstructed, re-stitched, and transformed into high-end designer pieces. These upcycled creations are marketed outside Edgeley at premium prices, generating value for the community.

Timber Pavilion

Over the summer of 2024, I designed this modular pavilion as a resting spot for hikers.
Its prefabricated components allow for easy assembly, making it adaptable to various locations.
Synopsis

These are the key components of the modular pavilion, designed to be arranged in various configurations to suit different spaces. The materials used include CLT and hempcrete.
The perforated ceiling creates dynamic patterns on the ground below. The open design, with no walls, enables parents to supervise their children while keeping an eye on activities like a barbecue.

Coupled Module

Synopsis
This was a first year undergraduate project that asked us to design a temporary microhome in the city.
The Coupled Module is a piece of parasitic architecture which is attached to its host, the New Islington Boathouse Facilities Hut, mirroring its form and façade.
This project was all about blending in and making the design respond to what was already on-site. I made this render over the summer, more than six months after finishing Coupled Module. It remains one of my favourite projects to date.

This design is part of a wider 20-house community, the layout of which we had to come up with as a group. This place will accommodate a family of four.
The aim of my design is to allow for my users, a family of four with two small children, to live in sync with the community and the wider local context. This is by incorporating a tree-based philosophy in which my users are at the trunk and the social circles are at the branch and root area.
Synopsis

To maximise the cyclical aspect, I applied a room layout that allows the children to run in circles. This will help encourage good physical health both inside and outside the Tree, and will aid keep them away from screens.

Here I separated the different spaces on Hulme Hall, which was one of my precedents. I broke them down into three parts: the ‘trunks’, ‘roots’ and ‘branches’.

I then broke up the spaces into their uses: community areas, dining hall, study spaces, etc.

This exercise of breaking down an existing residential masterplan helped me develop the Tree’s wider masterplan.

This project was the outcome of an exercise based on the 9 Square Grid Problem, introduced by our StudioPlus lead, Bea Martin.
The task involved working within a structured grid— first adhering to its framework and then deliberately breaking it to explore new design possibilities.
Synopsis

What I valued most about tackling the 9 Square Grid Problem was the opportunity to rethink space and circulation in new ways.
The initial constraint of working within the grid acted as a catalyst for creative problem-solving. It was fascinating to see how my peers approached their own grids—sharing ideas on how to break the mould while still respecting the underlying structure.
Though the 9 Square Grid was primarily explored in a spatial sense, its principles extend to broader design challenges, such as navigating regulations, site conditions, material constraints, and client expectations.
In the end, the 9 Square Grid Problem isn’t a problem at all—it’s an opportunity.

Timeline Jul-Sep 2024

As an intern at Martín Dulanto Arquitecto, I contributed to revising architectural plans, conducting precise site measurements, and assisting in project development. I also played a role in designing a competition poster, ensuring visual clarity and impact.
Additionally, I developed a series of studies on Studio mk27’s projects, exploring their design principles and architectural approaches.
This role has enhanced my technical proficiency, deepened my understanding of architectural processes, and fostered a passion for thoughtful, innovative design.
