The final thesis project for Studio 3.6 involved selecting one of three proposed sites within a city block. The objective was to design a building that responded thoughtfully to the other two sites and the shared courtyard at the heart of the block. I chose to develop an office building adjacent to the university, with its rear facade facing both the library and the internal courtyard.

My design approach aimed to fully utilize the site by creating a dynamic co-working environment. The lower levels feature open, shared workspaces, while the upper floors offer more enclosed units for focused work. Throughout the design process, I was mindful of the surrounding context—respecting the nearby park, university buildings, and roadways. The final proposal is a five-storey structure with a rear terrace overlooking the courtyard, fostering visual and spatial connection within the block.

Studying at Kingston University was an enriching and hands-on experience. I had the opportunity to produce numerous physical models, refine my hand-drawing techniques, and develop strong digital skills. The course exposed me to a wide range of software tools, working methods, and scales of design—from conceptual sketches to detailed architectural drawings. This diversity greatly enhanced my ability to adapt and communicate ideas effectively across different media

As the final project for my architectural studies in Brazil, I have developed a proposal for a Nautical Center designed to accommodate boats, jet skis, aquatic sports, and general leisure activities. The aim of this project is to revitalize a key waterfront area in the city and address the lack of infrastructure currently affecting users of the nearby river and beaches. This location, situated in the city center just meters from an existing ramp, is heavily used by residents and visitors for a wide range of recreational purposes. However, despite its popularity, it lacks proper planning and facilities to support the growing demand. In response, I have proposed a Nautical Center that will include boat storage, a pier, a launching ramp, and a multi-use commercial building. The building will feature parking, a restaurant, retail units, and a viewing deck overlooking the water.

The Nautical Center is envisioned as a vibrant meeting point that offers both practical support and leisure opportunities for the community. It will enhance the user experience, ease congestion, and bring new life to an area that is currently not in use.
