Designed to help schools and school teachers inspire a future generation of golfers, GolPhin’s school programme provides teachers, teaching support staff and young leaders with an exciting and comprehensive package of resources. Early Years (aged 3 to 5)
We believe every child should get the best possible start in life, to help them develop to their full potential in later years. Our Early Years programme has been designed to help early years staff to deliver fun, stimulating and interactive activities connected to education including basic understanding of words, numbers, physical development, personal and social development, whilst learning the basics of golf.

S.H.O.T.S. S = STAND. •

When standing and working with a partner, helping them tee up balls, please ensure you stand CHEST to CHEST to avoid a swinging club striking you. When waiting for your turn, make sure to stand two full paces back (behind) from the striking golfer. This will ensure you cannot get hit by a ball or swinging club. Always stand in or behind your coned safety area.
O = OBSERVE. • • •
Always observe during your instruction so you understand the task. Always observe others when participating, to avoid any risk to being hit by a club or a ball. Always observe the activity when collecting balls so you are not at risk of being hit by a ball.
T = TAKE CARE. H = HOLD. •
•
When listening to your coach or teachers instruction, hold the club like a WALKING STICK holding the club head in your hand. This prevents the club from being swung during coach or teacher instruction or when activities are being set up or broken down. It also keeps the club vertical in your hand so it can’t be poked into someone’s body or face when in close proximity to one another. Ideally put the club down or in the nearest bag.
•
Take care when playing shots, practicing shots, or watching shots being played to ensure you don’t hit anyone with the club if they walk into your playing space by accident, or if they forget the danger, or if they are trying to tee up a ball, or retrieve a ball.

Stop your shot/swing if someone walks in front of you, or into your target areas. Stop your shot/swing if someone is about to collect a ball near you. Stop your shot/swing immediately if your coach or teacher tells you to. Stop and look near you to ensure nobody is too close to you before you play a shot, or a practice swing.

GolPhin Height Chart When developing young players we need to ensure they are playing with clubs that fit. This will help them to quickly develop a technique that will last a lifetime. At GolPhin we have designed a system that is based on a players height, but have helped by giving you an age range to act as a further guide.
