RACING TOUR GOLF BALLS 2017 This is the year of the Tour golf balls. The top brands of golf balls have updated their high performance models for the 2017 season, in a relentless race to shake the foundations of the market. We see brands like Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf or Srixon in 'attack mode', with their missiles loaded with energy to shorten the percentage lead that Titleist has over them. And some have it so clear, that they announced their commitment to reach it, even surpass it. It is no longer a matter of which ball goes straighter and farther, which tightly controls the spin of every flight, or which offers a better grip on the green. They all offer them with different methods, which is why they have professionals winning with them on Tour. In the end it’s about the trinomial ball-clubplayer being perfectly synchronised so that the first, with the intermediation of the second, obeys the third. And that performance is achieved by training hard with the equipment. There is no other way. There is no doubt that in the last two years of R&D the manufacturers have managed to advance a step further in the performance of the golf ball, with material and production processes of the highest quality, and taking full advantage of the contributions of the elite players. So the improved performance is reflected in the new technologies developed and, above all, the testimony of the great stars of the Tour who have already incorporated the 2017 models into their golf
bag. For example: Tiger Woods, Brandt Snedeker and Bryson DeChambeau with the Bridgestone’ Tour B330; Dustin Johnson, Sergio García and Jon Rahm with the TaylorMade’ TP5; Jordan Spieth, Henrik Stenson and Jimmy Walker with the Titleist’ ProV1; Hidekyi Matsuyama, J.B. Holmes or Graeme McDowell with the Srixon's Z-STAR; or Bubba Watson with Volvik. And finally, we have the marketing campaigns trying to persuade us that theirs are the best. Convinced or mistaken, what is clear is that even though these Tour balls are designed for pros and elite players only, we can accept that most amateurs would like to play them, if they don’t already...
