The Highfield Entry Level 3 Certificate in Digital Skills (RQF) Qualification is a regulated qualification designed to give learners the basic digital skills needed to thrive in the modern world. It is ideal for those who have little or no experience using computers, the internet, emails and mobile devices. It has been designed to cover a range of units so that learners can develop their understanding of how computers work, how to use email, the internet and mobile devices. Learners will also develop their skills in word processing and spreadsheets, as well as learn how to stay safe while they are online. Highfield qualifications are supported by a comprehensive range of resources, including learner guides and learner assessment booklets. Our aim is to make it as simple as possible for you to deliver our qualifications with minimal preparation time needed. The qualification content has been mapped against the European Computer Driving License (ECDL). The Learning Company are a training provider who specialise in providing IT courses to people with learning difficulties. The organisation identified a gap in their offering and as a result, they sought to add more digital skills qualifications to the training they provide. The Highfield Entry Level 3 Certificate in Digital Skills (RQF) was an ideal addition, as it supports learners with learning difficulties in developing their basic digital skills. We spoke to Alison, the Learning Company’s Training Manager, about how the qualification is helping them to improve the lives of their learners through improving their digital skills.
