Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden alongside Member for Ballarat and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Catherine King MP and Member for Ripon, Martha Haylett MP, officially opened the Linton Recreation Reserve Oval upgrade in Linton.
This $1.425 million project was made possible through $780,000 from the Federal Government’s Investing in our Communities Program and $200,000 from the Victorian Government’s 2021-22 Country Football and Netball Program (Round 2). Golden Plains Shire Council contributed $445,000 to complete the project funding.

BOOk your spot in the upcoming autumn
holiday program
Registrations are now open for Council’s free Autumn Holiday Program for young people aged 12 to 25 years old.
The free Autumn holiday activities will run from Monday 7 April to Thursday 17 April and include: Level 2 First Aid, VR Gaming Competitions, BMX/Scooter Workshops, Paintball, White Card Training and a visit to the Aradale Lunatic Asylum in Ararat.
Activities are available across Golden Plains Shire and have been designed to support the needs and interests of young people. These activities also provide opportunities to learn new skills and connect with other young people.
