Golden Acres Genetics Performance Test and Harvest Report
Arid Climate and Irrigated Test Results of the Texas Panhandle and Western Kansas Each year, Golden Acres Genetics, Ltd. coordinates a corn variety testing program to ensure product performance. Our tests are conducted at a variety of locations with varied soil types, moisture availability, chemical treatments and general farming practices. Our results come from on-farm strip trials, university replicated studies, as well as Golden Acres Technology Evaluation Trials (GATE). The results of these tests are an opportunity for corn producers to make the most informed decision of variety selection as possible for their farms. As many of you experienced, 2013 brought a drought-stricken agriculture landscape. High stress conditions prevailed throughout the year, and heat persisted during grain fill. We were able to gather reliable data and are proud to present to you honest and unbiased data to let you decide what hybrids are best suited for your operation.
