CACC The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell College, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia (NY) College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician College, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Nyack College, Philadelphia University, Post University, University of the Sciences and Wilmington University. The CACC was founded in 1961. A meeting of eight schools was arranged and hosted by Norm Wilhelmi, Athletic Director at The King's (NY) College. The meeting resulted in the forming a new conference, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The conference included eight original members in the fall of 1961. They were Bloomfield College, Dowling College, The King's College, Marist College, Monmouth College, Nyack College, C.W. Post College and Southampton College. After years of transition and membership changes, NAIA members Bloomfield College, Caldwell College, Dominican College, Georgian Court College, Nyack College, Teikyo- Post University and St. Thomas Aquinas College made application to the NCAA Division II. The seven schools applied for membership in the fall of 1998. In 2002 the CACC qualified for NCAA Division II Provisional Conference Status and it achieved Active Status in July of 2004. Six schools: Bloomfield College, Caldwell College, Dominican College, Felician College, Georgian Court College and Post University, became full Division II members in 2002-03. Holy Family College, Goldey-Beacom College, Nyack College and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia became active DII members in 2003-04, followed by Wilmington College in 2004-05. During the span from 1999-2009, the conference underwent numerous changes in addition to upgrading to Division II. In 1999, St. Thomas Aquinas left the conference and five new members joined. Felician College, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family College, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Wilmington College, all NAIA schools, immediately ap-

plied for Division II status upon becoming members. In 2000, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) boosted the membership to 12 schools and that number grew to 13 in 2005 as Philadelphia University started active membership. NJIT moved on to Division I status after the 2005-06 season. The addition of Chestnut Hill College in 2007 and Concordia College in 2009 brought the CACC to 14 members. Only four conferences in Division II have more members. The CACC currently offers 13 championship sports, including men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's golf and women's lacrosse. Currently, nine of the CACC's season-ending tournaments lead to automatic NCAA qualifications, including women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball and men's golf.

the number of names on the list continues to grow each year. The CACC honored 285 scholar-athletes in 2010-2011. The CACC has also become one of the national leaders in the annual Division II Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser. The 13 CACC schools raised $12,218 in 200809, the eighth-highest total in Division II. Division II is composed of 23 conferences and seven independent institutions ranging from coast-to-coast-and beyond. Division II is the only NCAA membership division with programs in Alaska and Puerto Rico. Furthermore, four of the five colleges on Hawaii are members of Division II.

With its ascent to active Division II status, the Conference made major improvements by introducing a new website and logo. Both were unveiled in July of 2004. The website, www.caccathletics.org, contains updated stats, schedules, results, photos and news about all 14 member schools. The site underwent a complete redesign in the summer of 2009 and is scheduled for another in 2012. The CACC adopted its current logo from a design submitted by Royal Rooster Design of Iowa. In 2009, the CACC commissioned seperate logos for each conference sport and in 2010 added championship tournament logos for all sports. A 50th Anniversary Logo was created for the 2011-2012 academic year. The logos are trademarked through an agreement with Strategic Marketing Alliance (SMA) to protect and market the CACC marks. Off the court and field, the CACC and its student-athletes take pride in the balance between academics and athletics. The CACC finished third nationally among Division II Conferences for the graduation rate of its student-athletes, according to the latest NCAA report. Furthermore, the conference established its inaugural All-Academic team in the fall of 2004 and http://athletics.holyfamily.edu | 4

While at Clarion, Kehoe led the team in assists in 1998-99 and was second in 1997-98. He also was fourth in steals both seasons. The Golden Eagles reached the PSAC playoffs each year while he was a member of the team. During his playing days at East Stroudsburg, Kehoe was team captain and also broke the school record for three-point field goals made in a season with 66. He also assisted the coaching staff with film exchange and scouting. Kehoe began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Shippensburg from 2002-2004. From there, Kehoe moved up to the NCAA Division I level in 20042005 at St. Francis University as an assistant coach. A native of Philadelphia, Kehoe was a four-year member of the Roman Catholic boys basketball team. The team won the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship three times (1993, 1994 & 1996). From 1993-1996 the team finished in the Top-25 in the USA Today rankings. Kehoe and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons Tyler and Jaxon, and two daughters, Paityn and Brooklyn.

On April 8, 2011, Kehoe became the fifth ever head men’s basketball coach in Holy Family University history. A Philadelphia native, Kehoe joined the Tigers with nearly a decade of collegiate coaching experience. He spent five years as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Delaware. Last season, Holy Family ended a four-year stretch of losing seasons as the Tigers finished with an 18-10 overall record. Holy Family also finished 13-4 in conference play marking the most victories against CACC opponents since the 2007-08 season. As a result, the Tigers claimed their first-ever CACC South Division Regular Season Title. Prior to that, Holy Family shared regular season titles in 2006-07 and 2004-05 before the conference switched to division play in 2007-08. In his first season with Holy Family, Kehoe guided the team to their best finish since the 2007-08 season. The Tigers finished 12-14 overall and 8-9 in conference play and as a result qualified for the CACC Tournament for the first time since the 2008-09 season. The team had three players selected to the All-CACC team. In addition, senior Rickie Crews led the nation with 3.85 blocks per game and was only one of two players to block 100 shots during the year in Division II. Kehoe completed his fifth season with the Delaware men’s basketball program after the 2010-11 season in which he helped guide the Blue Hens to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship Quarterfinals. 2013-14 Season Outlook

Tigers Set Sights on Conference Championship & Beyond The Holy Family University men’s basketball program has come a long way over the past two seasons as the Tigers have advanced to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament in back-to-back seasons under head coach R.C. Kehoe. This year, Holy Family has its sights set for beyond the CACC Tournament. Kehoe is entering his third season at the helm of the men’s basketball team. In his first two seasons the Tigers are 30-24 overall and 21-13 in conference play. The program totaled only 17 wins in three seasons prior to Kehoe’s arrival in 2011-12. Last season, the Tigers ended a four-year stretch of losing seasons with an 18-10 overall record. Holy Family also finished 13-4 in conference play marking the most victories against CACC opponents since the 2007-08 season. As a result, the Tigers claimed their firstever CACC South Division Regular Season Title. Prior to that, Holy Family shared regular season titles in 2006-07 and 2004-05 before the conference switched to division play in 2007-08. “The hope for any coach is to improve year-to-year,” said Kehoe on the team’s success. We’ve done that thus far with growth and maturity. Our goal is to extend our postseason stay not just to the finals of the CACC Tournament but beyond.” The Tigers bring back eight players from last year’s roster that saw time on the court and welcomes in six newcomers to the mix. Holy Family returns two of its three All-CACC selections from last season in seniors Ervin Ezell (Deptford, N.J./Deptford High) and Alberto Munoz (Morrisville, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) as well as the return of 13| Holy Family Tigers Men’s Basketball 2013-14

redshirt senior Khiry Hankins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day School) who earned postseason honors in 2011-12. Hankins missed all of last season due to injury. In 2011-12, he averaged 16.8 points per game to go along with 81 made three-pointers. Ezell, who was an All-CACC first team selection, finished last year among the conference leaders in a number of statistical categories including first in steals (83), second in assists (131), third in free throws made (129), fifth in blocks (44) and points (473) and sixth in points per game (16.9). Munoz averaged 15.4 points per game in his third year with the Tigers and finished second in the conference with 90 three-pointers made. He also finished ninth in steals (43) and sixth in blocks (33). “When you’re able to put three all-league guards in your lineup complimented by the ultimate glue guy in [Turhan] Griffin I would think in most nights the backcourt match up will play in our favor,” said Kehoe on his guards. “The dynamic of having four guards completely different makes it easy for them to compliment each other. As the preseason moves towards the regular season I believe they are getting very comfortable together which is a good sign for us.” Sophomore Turhan Griffin (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Learning Center) averaged 4.8 points per game and dished out 33 assists. Defensively, Griffin had 25 steals and blocked four shots. Moving to the post players, the Tigers return two student-athletes that saw significant playing time during their first season with the

2013-14 Season Outlook here but is very welcomed.” Holy Family also returns senior Ben Savidge (Reading, Pa./Exeter) and junior Dan McMenamin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic). Savidge appeared in 15 games and totaled seven points and seven boards, while McMenamin saw action in five games last season. In addition to the Tigers 19-game CACC schedule, Holy Family will compete against nine non-conference opponents. In fact, the Tigers first eight games are out of conference, including five straight against Northeast-10 Conference competition. “When I started the process for the upcoming season I looked back on being so close to sneaking into the NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid last year,” said Kehoe on this year’s schedule. “I figured the only way to cement yourself into the tournament is to go challenge the premier conference in our region. With that being said, challenging and being successful are two very different animals. We believe having a roster of experienced guys combined with talented newcomers should be up for the challenge of the schedule we put together.” team; sophomores Isaiah Gans (Philadelphia, Pa./Redemption Christian Academy) and Hunter Wysocki (Colts Neck, N.J./Colts Neck). Gans started 26 games and appeared in 28 as he averaged 5.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He blocked a team-high 48 shots and had 15 steals. Wysocki came off the bench and supplied the Tigers with 15.7 minutes per game as he appeared in 27 contests. Wysocki averaged 3.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. In addition to Gans and Wysocki the team will feature junior transfer Brian Patterson (New Haven, Conn./Hillhouse) (Harcum CC) and sophomore transfer Derrick Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa./NeumannGoretti) (Rider) to the mix.

Kehoe continues on the CACC, “I believe our conference has gotten better each year I’ve been here. I wouldn’t think anything would change because half of the all-conference team selections are back with their respective teams. Night in and night out will require everything you have in your tank to escape with wins.” Holy Family is on a mission and will begin its journey towards a conference championship and beyond beginning Nov. 9 as the Tigers host Assumption College in a four-team - two day tournament at the Campus Center.

“We return only two forwards in Isaiah and Hunter,” said Kehoe. Both have made strides in all areas of the game and with the addition of our two transfers [Patterson & Stewart) we now have depth that we haven’t previously had in my first two seasons. Much like our backcourt, the frontcourt also has four guys completely different. All bring different strengths that compliment one another.” In the addition to Patterson and Stewart, the Tigers have four other newcomers joining this year’s team. Holy Family adds Branden Black (Manhattan, N.Y./Promise Academy Charter School), Reggie Charles (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge), Shane Neher (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and Xavier Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Saul). Williams redshirted last season. Charles along with junior Eric Fleming (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) will redshirt this season. “We come into this season only losing one significant piece in Angel Ayala (Allentown, Pa./William Allen),” said Kehoe. I think the staff did a terrific job replacing one with three [Patterson, Stewart, Williams). Not only do we have those three to add to the mix we also have Khiry [Hankins] back as a piece of this recruiting class. To get four players in one class to make a significant difference for us is very rare for a program that lost one significant piece from a year ago. The newcomers with Khiry will give us depth we have not had http://athletics.holyfamily.edu | 14
