Honor the Giving Hearts in your Nonprofit Organization

Every organization has volunteers and donors who provide invaluable gifts of time, treasure, and talent. Honor these individuals at your nonprofit organization by publicly recognizing them at the annual National Philanthropy Day gala awards dinner. You can choose to honor one special individual or several. All honorees will be listed in the National Philanthropy Day program and will be recognized during the gala. To be listed in the program, the name(s) of your honoree(s) must be submitted by October 10, 2008.

TRACK SPEAKERS

Alice Ferris, ACFRE

Alice Ferris has over 17 years of fundraising experience. She has led fund development programs for both the Flagstaff Medical Center and Winslow Memorial Hospital. Ferris has also held development positions at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ, and Wisconsin Public Television in Madison, WI. She is a past board member for AFP International, a two-time honoree as AFP Northern Arizona Fundraising Professional of the Year, and a graduate of the AFP Faculty Training Academy.

James S. Anderson

James Anderson has more than 22 years of sales and training experience. He has worked with local media and national consumer research companies such as Nielsen Media, Simmons, and Scarborough Research. Anderson has earned the Sales Executive of the Year, Negotiator of the Year, and the New Business and Over-Achiever Awards.

Scott Staub, ACFRE

Scott Staub has been a fundraiser for more than 20 years, with extensive experience in major gifts and capital campaigns. He has raised funds for healthcare, education, social services and religious causes. Staub has served on the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy in several officer positions and has been honored as an “Outstanding Fundraising Professional” by both the Aloha and Silicon Valley Chapters of the AFP.

Nancy Johnson, President, Target America

Nancy Johnson has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofits in the areas of research and software. In 2001, she joined the Target America team as VP of Sales. Johnson helped roll out eTapestry. She is a trustee on the ePhilanthropy Foundation board and is a Master Trainer for ePhilanthropy.org. She is listed as one of the top 40 Experts in ePhilanthropy and speaks nationwide helping nonprofits stay on the leading edge of ePhilanthropy.

Linda Lysakowski, ACFRE

Linda Lysakowski is the president and CEO of Capital Venture. She has managed capital campaigns ranging from $175,000 to over $12M, and has trained more than 10,000 professionals and volunteers in fundraising and philanthropy. Lysakowski was named Eastern Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year in 2001 and received the same honor from the Las Vegas AFP chapter in 2004. She is a graduate of the AFP Faculty Training Academy.

Alexander "Sandy" Macnab, FAHP, CFRE

Alexander “Sandy” Macnab began the consulting company bearing his name in 1994 after 25 years as a development professional. Prior to starting his own firm, Macnab served St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, as Director of Development and Assistant Vice President. He is a member of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving and served on the organization’s steering committee. Macnab is a graduate of the inaugural class of the AFP Faculty Training Academy.

Ted Rondeau, CFP®, CFRM Chief Development Officer, Integrated Community Development International

Ted Rondeau spent 15 years in private practice as a CFP® specializing in high net worth clients and sophisticated estates. He entered the nonprofit sector in 2000, where he applies his expertise to the full spectrum of fundraising organizational development within the context of organizations engaging in international missions, NGO relief, and development work. Rondeau is a member of the Christian Stewardship Association, the National Committee on Planned Giving, the American Council on Gift Annuities, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
