The game Concentration is a word game with a creator who is unknown. To set up the game you must have two or more players. The amount of players you have in your game is dependant on what you want. If there are two players you stand in front of each other, if there are more than two players you stand in a circle.

Your hands must be connected one on top of the other to begin the game. There are no materials needed to play the game. You must take turns naming things in the category in a timely manner Not repeat a word you or someone else has already said

Other than these there are no other rules, although you are allowed to make up any house rules as with every game.

Concentration is a game that utilizes both randomness and strategy. I say randomness because there are things that you don’t know. For example you don’t know what the category will be at first, what someone else will call out, who will be out first, etc. Now although the game is mostly based on randomness there is one strategy I can think of that would be useful in this game. Know as much as possible, know animals, vegetables, movies, etc. Being knowledgeable is the best strategy to have.

There is no good way to measure progress when playing this game. It’s a fast pace game where you scream out words one after the other. And because there is no point system the only way to keep track of progress would be to see who’s slipping up and try and not get out before them. The only means of keeping track of progress that I can think of would be to see how many people are in the game when it’s starting and keep track of who’s out and how many more people you have to beat.

This game has some good qualities when you think about game play and how the game works. There is no board that you have to carry around, it’s a fast pace game, and it’s a classic game that many have heard of.

Another great thing about this game is that it’s great for multiple plays. Because you never know what someone is gonna say the game is always different and nothing should ever repeat itself in the same game.

One potential negative of the use of this game is that there are a lot of days in summer camps usually and playing this game too much could have the potential to get boring quickly.

Secret Identity is a game that is played with Post-It Notes but there is also a game board version called Headbandz. The version called Secret Identity is another game with an unknown creator. The game is played with Post-It Notes, pens, and people. The number of players in the game depends on what you decide. The minimum amount of players is two but the more players the better. Once an Identity is picked for each player the game can begin. The rules of the game are as follows: ● ● ● ●

Write down your secret identity (no one else sees) Place your Post-It note on the person to your left Go around and everyone asks a yes or no question about their secret identity You may only ask each person one question

To win the game you must guess your secret identity by asking the least amount of questions and be the first to guess your identity correctly.

The game is a pure randomness game, there is no know information to any of the players except other’s identities. It’s random because you don’t know your secret identity or what questions to ask. There is strategy to this game that you can make, but it’s not guaranteed to always work. One of the only strategies I can think of would be to have a set of questions that help you put your identity into a sub genre and try and figure it out that way. This is a game that will go by very fast and is a lot of fun. Because it has those components it allows it to be a game that can be played over and over again. There are so many celebrities and famous people that the game shouldn’t repeat itself. Other than using famous people and celebrities you can also use say foods, shows, animals, etc.

A downside to the game would be that every round would be different but the same because all the game requires is for players to ask questions and that may get boring to some quickly.
