ABOUT

Park Facilities

Main Entrance - The Main Entrance (Roaring Springs Road or Rt. 616) of the park offers a Nature Trail, Hiking Trail & Multi-use Trail, horseshoe pits, playground, volleyball court and exercise trail The Smith Picnic Shelter and Whitcomb Lodge are available for use and can be reserved for a fee Several picnic areas with charcoal grills are also available A youth camping area is located across the lake from the Main Entrance parking lot The campground is open to youth groups who have insurance & adult sponsors. A small non-refundable fee of $30 per night is required.

Farys Mill Road Entrance - The second entrance to the park is located on Farys Mill Road (Rt. 606). Facilities include a picnic shelter with restrooms, multi-use trail (hiking, biking & horseback riding), a fully accessible playground, boat ramp (for annual pass holders only) and pier

Programs

Beaverdam Park Programs - Some of the programs offered throughout the year are Summer Camps, Night Hikes, Night Canoeing, Night Fishing, Weekend Programs, Bass, Horseshoe & Volleyball Tournaments & other special events such as the Paddle Jam Participate in a program, go fishing or take a quiet walk or run

BEAVERDAM LAKE & PARK PROGRAMS

The Lake

The lake has been in existence since 1990 The flooded areas consisted of open fields, woods, wetlands and about 3 miles of streams. The average depth of the lake is 12 feet & the maximum depth is 25 feet.

The southern portion of the lake is restricted to protect the water treatment plant. Buoys across the lake mark the boundary of the restricted area, please do not enter that area

There are 11 fish attractors, tree tops chained to stumps, located throughout the lake The sites are marked & have tie up rings for your convenience

Rentals

Beaverdam Park offers Jon Boat, kayak, and canoe rentals along with fishing equipment and bait!

Drink often to stay hydrated. Carry enough water for the day and your pack will get lighter as the day wears on.

Park Rules

Park Rules Park rules have been established to ensure public safety and an enjoyable environment. Please respect all rules and regulations.

• No hunting

• No sailing or paddleboards

• No swimming

• No metal detectors

• No alcoholic beverages

• No lighting of open fires

• All dogs must be on a Leash

• Children must be supervised at all times.

• Shore Fishing is permitted throughout the park, except between the floating pier & canoe storage area.

• The discharging of firearms or fireworks is prohibited

• No unauthorized possession of firearms.

• No sale of any commodities or posting of any advertisements without written permission from the Director of the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department.

• Gasoline motors are prohibited, electric motors only.

• All state boating and fishing regulations apply.

• With the exception of fish, no animals may be removed from the park premises
