Well, hold onto your hats because The Sub has a secret weapon up its sleeve ...
The picnic policy!
That's right, you can enjoy a variety of music, both new and old, whilst dining on your favourite takeaway The picnic policy puts The Sub right on the map as one of Lancashire’s very few bring your own food venues.
We spoke with new owner, Tara, about how she has incorporated her own personal flair into the venue.
Moving back to Blackpool after several years away, Tara took over The Sub in 2023 and it has since become somewhat of a passion project, as well as her full-time job. In the months after its reopening on October 13th 2023, under Tara’s ownership, The Sub has amassed a totally new audience and established a regular clientele
It is clear to see that Tara has successfully created a venue that reflects her personal interests, adorned with her own art pieces and renowned Beatles pictures and illustrations.

Having a mutual passion for business, we began our Glo Group journey in June 2023.
The journey began with our first marketing brochure, ‘New builds in Poulton-le-Fylde’ for new build developer, Baxter Homes The brochure was a huge success and marked the beginning of something very special
Having realised our individual passions and strengths within the business, following on from the brochure, we made the decision to introduce the groups into Glo There followed Glo Publications and Glo Socials
We pride ourselves in working closely with our clients to ensure they get the absolute most out of their relationship with us We take the time to carefully create bespoke packages and strategies, finely tailored to meet the exact needs of our social media clients We understand that, as businesses owners, finding the time to do everything is almost impossible, and that’s why don’t take the typical approach of just a ‘business offering you a service’ W want to make a difference in your life, providing you with the gift of time to invest in other areas, while w take care of all things digital.

Founded in 2022 by directors Matthew Crook and Jack Fletcher, A2B Payment Solutions have gone from strength to strength in the past two years Their success makes it one of the Fylde coasts biggest business assets of recent years
Matthew’s focus is on building and maintaining successful relationships with A2B’s clients and partners Having started his career in sales in retail, from a very young age Matthew identified that large corporates often only paid “lip service” to the idea of customer service being “at the heart” of what they do, all too often customers being treated as a simple transaction Sitting in monthly review meetings, Matthew would often find himself being frustrated when colleagues would talk about individual targets and sales, rather than the positive results they had delivered for customers and, ultimately, the business.
Jack has built a wealth of knowledge on the merchant services industry, rising quickly through the ranks of his previous employer from sales assistant to heading up merchant services sales teams in the UK and South Africa What drove this rise? Well, a few minutes shadowing Jack and it’s plain to see: the fantastic relationships he builds with his network of clients Jack pours his energy and unbound enthusiasm into each client relationship, becoming a true trusted advisor to those clients and a “go to” when it comes to service delivery queries
A2B are certainly one to watch as their continued growth is set for great heights.
