INVITATION TO COMMENT NOTICE OF A BASIC ASSESSMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT ON THE REMAINING EXTENT OF PORTION 4 OF VLAKFONTEIN 303-IQ, LENASIA SOUTH, CITY OF JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG PROVINCE. Notice is hereby given in terms of Regulations published in Government Notice R. 982 of 04 December 2014, under sections 24(5), and 44, of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No.107 of 1998), as amended, that Portion 4 Golden Highway (PTY) Ltd is proposing to develop a mixed use development (Kiasha Park Extension 1) on the remaining extent of Portion 4(a portion of Portion 3) of the farm Vlakfontein 303-IQ. The development will include a filling station and garage, residential buildings and hotels, a taxi rank, as well as industrial buildings and warehouse facilities. In terms of Sections 24(2) and 24D of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended, and as read on Listing Notice 1 (Government Notices R. 983, in Government Gazette 38282 of 04 December 2014) a Basic Assessment is required for the project.
