SHEFFIELD — Ryan and Megan Hejlik, of Sheffield, are the parents of a son, Renner Cole Hejlik, born at 8:06 p.m. Sept. 18, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center — North Iowa, Mason City.

He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 21¼ inches long.

Ryan is welcomed by proud big brother, Ethan.

Grandparents are Jack and Cheryl Eno of Sheffield; Rod and Diane Lumm of Camdenton, Mo., and Jerry Hejlik of Clear Lake.

BELMOND — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Trausch will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Richard Trausch and Bernice Linn were united in marriage on Jan. 24, 1953, at the Methodist Church in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

They have three children, Dennis (Pam) Trausch of Belmond, Pam (Paul) Lathrop of Mason City, and Colleen (Charlie) Cleppe of Elmore, Minn.

Their grandchildren are Pattie and Bryan Lathrop, Jacob and Kyle Collette, and Alex Cleppe.

Fern married Jean Snow and had four boys. She moved her family to Clear Lake in 1946 to the Snow residence on Main Avenue.

Jean passed away in 1966.

She worked at Armour retiring in 1976. She spent her retirement years traveling through most of the continental states and Alaska, twice driving a motor home with her second husband, Emory Zinser.

Fern and Emory lived in southern Texas until 1996.

Fern is currently a resident at Oakwood Care Center.

Catherine is the daughter of Bob and Jane Broghammer of Clear Lake. Robert’s parents are Andrea and the late Ron Keech of Iowa City.

Maid of honor was Anne Boileau, sister of the bride.

Catherine’s other attendants were Cassie Glidden, Callie Glidden, Molly Bonin, and Stephanie Lindquist. Best man was Amos Dupuich, brother-in-law of the groom.

Robert’s other attendants were Andy Buller, Bryan Renne Kamp, Matt Clancy, and Colin O’Brien.

The flower girls were Faith Boileau and Katherine Dupuich. The ring bearers were Dawson Boileau and Drew Dupuich. Ushers were Bob Broghammer, Matt Boileau, and Robby Kemp. Soloist was Melissa Regele, friend of the bride. The bride’s personal attendants were April Vogel and Anne Price.

A reception was held at Green Ridge Farm in Lisbon, Iowa, and was hosted by Joe and Jamie Spreitzer, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Catherine received a BA in French from Creighton University, and a Masters in Foreign Language Teaching from the University of Iowa.

Robert received a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa, and a DDS (Doctor of Dental Science) from the University of Iowa. He is employed by AAA Dental of Bettendorf.

The couple honeymooned in San Diego, Calif., and Napa Valley in April.

Buena Vista dean’s list STORM LAKE — The following North Iowa students were named to the Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester at Buena Vista University.

Frank, Mahon MASON CITY — Tracy Frank and Matt Mahon were united in marriage on May 19, 2012, at Georgia Hanford Park in Mason City, Iowa, by Janet Dorenkamp.

Tracy is the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Frank of Mason City.

Matt’s parents are Art and Kay Mahon of Clear Lake.

Maid of honor was Cindy Bancroft. Best man was Art Mahon.

Tracy is employed by Real Estate Equities of Eagan, Minn. Matt is employed by Curries of Mason City.

The couple will honeymoon in Scotland this July.

The couple will reside in Mason City, Iowa.

ACHIEVEMENT RCTC fall dean’s list ROCHESTER, Minn. — Rochester Community and Technical College released its Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester, ending this past December.

Brenna Moe, of Joice, and Devyn Nicholson, of Scarville, were among the students recognized.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more lettergraded credits, in the same semester and achieve a grade point average between 3.0 and 4.0.
