LED MIRROR FEATURES We have 8 striking designs of LED mirrors, of which two have the additional feature of ambient lighting to create a relaxed atmosphere in the bathroom. INFRARED NO TOUCH ON/OFF SWITCH A safe and easy to use infrared on/off switch, enables the user to activate the lighting without the need to touch the mirror. Simply move your hand in front of the sensor to activate. HEATED DE-MISTER PAD Heated demister pads make steamy bathroom mirrors a thing of the past. The heated demister pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3 minutes, preventing the mirror from misting in even the steamiest of bathrooms. The demisting effect will spread approximately 10-20% further than the pad itself. ZONES FOR ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO BATH & SHOWERS Mirrors have been designed and independently tested for compliance with electrical equipment (safety) regulations. Mirrors which are IP44 water resistance rated are suitable for use in zones 2 and outside zones in the bathroom. Please see the diagram on page 192 which illustrates zones within a standard bathroom.

SAFETY WITHIN THE BATHROOM Zones for Electrical Equipment in Close Proximity to Baths & Showers in Domestic Installations
Electrical fittings in this zone require a separated extra low voltage and a minimum rating of IP44 (splash-proof). Electrical fittings in this zone require a minimum rating of IP44 (splash-proof). Electrical fittings in this zone require IP rating (unless cleaned by water jets).
SOURCE ILLUMINATED MIRRORS TECHNICAL INFORMATION IMPORTANT -All mirrors featuring infrared technology must be mounted a minimum of 150mm from an adjacent wall or obstruction to ensure correct function of the infrared sensor. Tavistock Source illuminated mirrors have been designed and independently tested for compliance to electrical equipment (safety) regulations. All electrical connections should be made according to the latest national wiring regulations. Illuminated mirrors are suitable for installation in the bathroom within outside zones unless stated. Mirrors which are IP44 water resistance rated are suitable for use in zones 2 and outside zones in the bathroom. Source illuminated mirrors are not suitable for installation in saunas, steam rooms, shower cubicles or above a bath tub. Products are only suitable for permanent installation. Installation by a suitably qualified electrician is required. IDEA CABINETS - ELECTRICS Idea cabinets have been designed and independently tested for compliance to electrical equipment (safety) regulations. Standards applicable to Idea cabinets are: BS EN 60825-1: 1994 inc Amd 1: 1996, Amd 2: 1997 & Amd 3: 2002 & Corrigendum 1 (Class 1 LED product) BS EN 60598-1: 2004, EN 60598-2-1: 1989, BS EN 60598-2-2. Idea cabinets are only suitable for use outside zones 1 & 2 according to the latest IEE regulations. All Idea cabinets are class 1 insulated and require an earth connection. IMPORTANT - all cabinets featuring infrared technology must be mounted a minimum of 150mm from an adjacent wall or obstruction to ensure correct function of the infrared sensor. ASPEN CABINET ELECTRICAL INFORMATION (A65CA) The Aspen bathroom cabinet is equipped with low voltage halogen down-lighters and has been designed and independently tested to comply with British Electrical Equipment Safety Regulations. Cabinets are of Class II (double insulated) construction, and are suitable for installation within the outside zones of the Bathroom under the IEE Regulations 17th Edition. Installation by a competent electrician is advised. Cabinets supplied with lights must not be sited within the bathroom such that they can be operated by persons whilst using a bath or shower. Cabinets must also not be installed where they can come in direct contact with shower spray and are not suitable for installation within Saunas or Steam Rooms. Light fittings are 12V Halogen and use G4 10W capsule bulbs, which are easily replaced.
