Global Philadelphia Association meets another United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) with the unveiling of new public arts mural by Arthur Haywood, celebrating SDG #4 – Quality Education at Saint Joseph’s University (SJU). Sponsored by SJU and the School District of Philadelphia, the mural will be a colorful, elegant interpretation of the goal, reinforcing their commitment to quality education and lifelong learning. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action set forth by United Nations for all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. This mural will reflect Sustainable Development Goal #4, Quality Education- as a tool to enable upward socioeconomic mobility and act as a key to escaping poverty. The event will include student performances by Campus Ministries, the SJU choir, followed by remarks from both the GPA and SJU teams and City Representative Sheila Hess.
