Eligibility Criteria To Become
An IMechE Associate Member
To become an IMechE Associate Member, you need to be a graduate with an undergraduate degree in science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) subject.
This membership will unlock the next stage of your professional development, making it easier for you to start working towards becoming an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer. This type of membership is tailored to help you boost your career and fulfill your ambitions.

Requirements:
IMechE membership as an Associate Member is for a graduate, as told above, who has a degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) subject. In addition, the candidate needs to satisfy one of the following criteria:
Have an undergraduate degree having accreditation from IMechE Possess a UK undergraduate engineering degree
Have undergraduate maths, physics, or another related science degree Possess an international engineering degree fulfilling IMechE’s academic requirements
Have an Open University undergraduate degree with an acceptable profile
Unfortunately, qualifications that are not comparable to a British bachelor’s degree (Level 6) or above (such as HNCs, HNDs, and Foundation degrees) don’t fulfill the academic requirements for the designation of an Associate Member.
