From Spring Break to Summer camps programs, there’s something for your aspiring artist or performer. See our Summer Camps-at-a-Glance section on pages 8–9 for program information. Get ready spring breakers for three days of movie madness! Design and build your own original character from professional animation clay. Create a background setting with foam board, found objects, and mixed media. Use Sculpey and glow-in-the-dark clay to give your creation unique details. Using Final Cut Pro, students learn basic and advanced stop-motion techniques, animation, and sound design, adding sound effects and dialog to the class production. If you love fantasy art, mythical beings and ancient art forms this camp is for you. Even math-oriented youth love this camp which integrates sacred geometry. Each day, create a colorful multimedia illuminated manuscript with quills, calligraphy, drawing and painting. LOCATION
Celebrating over 45 years! Experience musical theater in a fun, full-day camp for rising grades 1-6. Your child will work alongside accomplished D.C. area theater professionals and teaching artists during daily rehearsals in dancing, singing, and acting. With props and costumes, music, movement, and scene-work, your child’s experience will culminate in a performance of a full, youth–appropriate show for friends and family.
