Tribute to Jimmy Doyle and Séamus Begley

“The Traditional Music World was hit with a big double blow at the start of the year with the deaths of two icons Jimmy Doyle and Seamus Begley. They were great friends of the Gathering down through the years and their wit, stories and music will always stand the testimony of time. You could not meet two great characters in your lifetime yet again we send our condolences and prayers to their families.

I consider myself so lucky and blessed to have been in their company on many the late night or early morning down over the past 30 years. The stories and sayings were the best. Enjoy the good times folks and enjoy the Gathering.”
