Following strong off-trade sales as a result of the pandemic, and a successful mixed anniversary case offer, increasing direct to consumer demand; the family-owned vineyard seized the opportunity to capitalise on affordable media options presented to them during this current time, by investing in its first ever TV advertising campaign in the UK with SKY.

The 30-second commercial, entitled ‘C’est Anglais’ has been crafted to appeal to a broad audience that may not have considered English sparkling wine before and challenges the perception that it is only the French that make quality fizz.

The advert is on air on Sky News, Comedy Central, Sky Witness, Sky Documentaries, Sky 1,

Food Network, Fox, Sky Arts and TLC.

Hattingley Valley specialises in premium, awardwinning English sparkling wine. This year Hattingley celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Gareth Maxwell, commercial director at Hattingley Valley, said: “Working with VCCP Media, we agreed that our 10th anniversary was the right time to place a TV advert from a strategic and commercial perspective. We hope the campaign will challenge people’s perceptions of English sparkling wines and will encourage consumers to buy British.”
