Multi skilled local family electrical business Mingleford Electrical Contractors based at Beerwah are a small family run company with many years of experience. They have been providing electrical services to the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years and cover a range of electrical services for both domestic and commercial jobs. This includes general electrical work, appliance and solar repairs, air conditioning, refrigeration and commercial laundry equipment. Originally trading as D&K Electrical, the company was the first major whitegoods warranty service agent on the Sunshine Coast and they have strived to build up a strong reputation of friendly, prompt and quality service over the years. Along with local domestic clients, Mingleford Electrical Contractors have a variety of current commercial contracts including work for Spotless Services (defence base maintenance) and the Sunshine Coast Council as preferred and authorised electricians. The team also offer solar repairs and have installed, repaired
and maintained many systems throughout the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. Both founder Andy Aitchison and son Brad are multi licensed tradespeople; holding full electrical fitter mechanic licences as well as full refrigeration, LPG and electrical contractor licences. A unique point of difference is that Brad’s wife Sarah is currently also working towards becoming a fully qualified electrician. This will provide a pleasant change in a traditionally male dominated industry. It is estimated that there are less than 50 female electrical apprentices currently in Australia, and so the team at Mingleford are thrilled to be able to support Sarah’s progress towards gaining her electrical licence.
