Sportsman’s Dinner Things 2 Do Kilcoy to host classic cars and motorbikes The Kilcoy Classics on Wheels to be held on Sunday, October 14 will be a showcase of classic cars, motorbikes and specialty vehicles held in conjunction with the Wood, Wine and Art Festival. The Kilcoy Classics will provide the public an opportunity to check out a wide variety of cars and give the owners a chance to share their interests with fellow enthusiasts. So, if you have a classic vehicle hiding away in the shed, why not bring it along? There is even a category for works in progress. The event will be held at the Kilcoy Showground. Entry is $5.00 for adults, with free entry for all school-aged children. Moving photography ‘Capturing Movement in Photography’ is not as easy as it sounds, but beginners and intermediate photographers can learn the tricks of the trade from a course devised by accomplished photographer and teacher, Peter Jendra. Peter, a winner of numerous Camera Club, Casey Stoner, World Champion State and National Photography Awards, Superbike rider, racing at Philip will take you on the journey to capture movement with your camera. Course delivery takes place on a Thursday evening at The Caboolture Hub followed by a Saturday afternoon practical lesson at Centenary Lakes in Caboolture. The third and final lesson will be on a Thursday evening to discuss the outcomes of the field trip and to receive further advice. Price is $180 per person total for three lessons. Bush dance bonanza Peachester State School is busy putting finishing touches on it's Bush Dance Bonanza to be held at the Peachester Hall on Saturday, October 27. Last year saw the school celebrate its centennial with an exciting and successful fete and this event promises to be no different. Peachester students also love getting involved in their school events and have been learning bush dancing as part of their physical education program. It will be fantastic seeing the students perform on the night. ‘The Bush Rats’ a local, energetic folk/bush band will be performing live. They will be donating their time for our fundraiser. The evening starts at 5.00pm with a barbeque dinner. There will also be a Licensed Bar and an amazing Mega Multi Draw Raffle continuing throughout the night. Our fantastic P&C take pride in supporting the teachers and students at our school and thoroughly enjoy putting these events on as both a fundraiser and social gathering for the school and wider community. Peachester is known for its welcoming community spirit and everyone is invited to come along for some toe tapping, foot stomping fun.
