The return of Kenny's Angels
Kenny’s Angels return
By Sonia Clark

After having a blast at their inaugural off-road adventure in last year’s Great Endeavour Rally, local team Kenny’s Angels is set to once again hit the open road and raise serious dust for dollars.
Local ladies Amanda Smyth (Wild Horse Turf), Susan Ellwood (Grandview on Fraser) and Sonia Heilig (Go Turf) are looking forward to heading off road again and taking in the spectacular sights of the Gulf country – all for a “rally good cause”.
Amanda said that last year the rally raised a total of $330,000 for the Endeavour Foundation to support people living with a disability. Once again she and her fellow angels aim to do the best job they can to support Endeavour. Each team must raise a minimum $3,300, so Amanda has put the call out for any local sponsors or people wishing to donate.

There are 49 teams already registered to participate in this years’ event – an eight-day Gulf adventure that runs from July 26 until August 3.
Departing from the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, the rally heads across Central Queensland to Julia Creek and then onto Karumba and Undara before finishing at Townsville. Since 1986, a staggering $10 million has been raised through the charity motoring event.
