Maleny Bowls Club Contributed by Graeme Glover Last week teams travelled to Woodford to represent the club. Thanks to all involved. Wednesday night saw the return of a number of bowlers and regular coordinator Miles Allen to this mid- week social competition and a great night of bowls was had by all. Maleny State High has a group coming to the club on Thursday afternoon for bowls. Thanks to the physical education faculty for their efforts with introducing students to lawn bowls. Plans are under way for a primary school group to coordinate an after school activity at the club. The initial monthly final of scroungers was held on Friday. Congratulations to all involved. A reminder to all bowlers involved in championship games to take note of the coordinator’s email about the schedule. The upcoming week sees teams travel to both Mapleton and Kilcoy. Hoping all members take the opportunity to support the club raffle as there are great prizes at a small cost.
