The Queensland Government has introduced new laws to promote the responsible breeding of dogs. These new laws relate to dogs and puppies born after May 26, 2017. After this date, it is illegal to sell, supply, give away or advertise a dog or puppy without providing a ‘supply number’, which is used to identify where the animal has originated from. Advertising for the sale, supply or giving away of a dog or puppy born after May 26, 2017 will not be accepted by Glasshouse Country & Maleny News without a supply number.
