Located in the beautiful Glass House Mountains, Bassett Barks Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Fitter / Diesel Motor Mechanic who is looking for job security, great conditions and the job satisfaction that comes with a quality preventative maintenance program, with occasional troubleshooting and fault finding. The right candidate for this role will be eager to work with a tight knit group of dedicated individuals, with a great attitude towards work and a positive outlook in general. We offer Monday to Friday day shift with occasional Saturday mornings with an excellent hourly rate, negotiable on your experience as a diesel mechanic. To be successful in your application, you will need the following: • Relevant trade qualifications required to perform your duties as a Heavy Duty Fitter. • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a heavy duty fitter / mechanic with a demonstrated safety and performance record. • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised with minimal direction to achieve work outcomes. • Good knowledge / experience in safe workshop operations. • Ability to pass an employment medical and drug & alcohol screen. • Current Drive’s License-HR preferred, but not essential. • Forklift / high risk work licenses desirable. The experience with the following equipment will be highly regarded: • Welding • Volvo and Hitachi Loaders • Tipper and Walking Floor Trailers • Stationary Plant such as Trommels and Shakers • Prime movers
