Witta Tennis Contributed by Pauline Fraley The Whistlers played the semi-final against Ballinger Breezers. It was very warm on the court and we were hitting hard. Good tennis but we didn't get many games with the score at 25-42 games, 2-6 sets. Team was Aki Lepper, Annie Quarmby, Donna Kuskopf and thanks Robyn Brown for filling in for us. It's done for the season. We struggled with players but got through. Well done team. The Wildcats played Yandina in the semi-final at Mooloolaba. It was extremely close all day with the scores even with two sets left to play. Pauline Fraley, Annie Stewart, Stacey English and Libby Howlett, with determination in their play, fought hard and came out the victors. Final score 5-3 sets, 40-34 games. On Friday the Wildcats play in the grand final against Eumundi Echo at Maroochydore. Go Witta! The AGM is this Saturday at 12noon. Social tennis: Monday 8am and Saturday 1pm. All welcome. Court bookings 0437 295 501 or www.wittatennis.com.au.
