KÖMMERLING’S CHANGES AT THE HELM AT EXLABESA BUILDING SYSTEMS STRONGER SALES TEAM profine UK have just finished putting together a new and experienced sales team to help push the KÖMMERLING brand further in the UK, with the promise of additional product and marketing investment over the next 12 months and beyond. With new managing director Gareth Jones on board and Brian McDonald promoted to sales director, the new sales team have been tasked with nurturing existing business and bringing on new customers, something the latter task has already been achieved in just their first month together. The new team includes area sales managers Leigh Cooper for the north, Ian Smith – midlands and Jason Scrivens for the south. Each new member of the sales team has been carefully recruited by profine, bringing with them experience of German system companies, building plastics groups and at fabrication level. With a huge presence planned for the FIT Show in 2019 along with the launch of System 76, the team are already highly motivated at the opportunities that await them, for what is regarded as one of the most well-respected brands in the glazing industry. Exlabesa Building Systems has announced the promotion of Paul Benn to General Manager. Paul joined the business back in 2015 and his promotion reflects what he has achieved during his time. In his new role, Paul will report to Director of Exlabesa Building Systems (Global), Paco Quinta.

Previously holding the post of National Sales Manager, Paul has been instrumental in help building the company’s wellrespected position in the UK fenestration market. His appointment as General Manager reflects the strength of his abilities and his commitment to create opportunities to further strengthen the UK operations.

Commenting on Paul’s promotion, Derek Hodgson, former General Manager of Exlabesa Building Systems said: “Having been with the business for seven years, I had recently made a personal decision to take a step back from the business.

Paul has been tasked with the specific goal of generating profitable sales in the UK for the company’s aluminium systems and realising Exlabesa Building Systems ambition to continue to grow market share. Paul takes up his new position from 1st November, 2018.

RICHARD LEE ENHANCES POLYFRAME CUSTOMER JOURNEY IN PIVOTAL NEW ROLE As Polyframe approaches the end of its busiest year in history, the business is looking forward to an outstanding 2019 with the appointment of Richard Lee into the newly created role of PVCu category director. Polyframe – a leading supplier of branded PVCu products – is now implementing a string of important developments to enhance the customer experience and make the business even easier to work with. The appointment of Richard, who was formerly managing director at Polyframe’s Halifax site, has bolstered the talented leadership team and heralds the beginning of an exciting new strategy for the business. He will spearhead a number of new developments across all processes which, along with an industry-leading product mix, includes quoting, ordering, delivery and after sales care. This will ensure that the business provides the very best experience for its customers at every stage. Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I love this industry and I’m very excited to be taking up this terrific new role. I can’t wait to get started!” Polyframe has recently increased the headcount of fabricators at its two largest sites in Halifax and Norwich by 25% to satisfy increased demand and maintain its position as the UK’s leading fabricator of

multi-system PVCu windows, doors and conservatories. The business has also made significant investments in infrastructure and equipment to further align all four production sites and enable them to deliver consistently high levels of quality and service. David Leng, group chief executive at Customade Group, added: “Richard is an industry stalwart and he has a wealth of experience in PVCu. Phil, who has many years’ experience in the industry and joins Polyframe from the Epwin Group, is also based in Halifax.
