This booklet shows the work I did during the Second Level Specializing Master in "Design for Development: Architecture, Urban Planning and Heritage in the Global South". In the first part, you can see the results of the three design workshops ("LinkedLazarat", "Inclusive and sustainable primary school in Ethiopia", "Maputo Region's territorial analysis"), in the second one, you can see the result of the one-month workshop I did in Maputo (focused on the slum upgrading of the informal settlement around Praça de Touros), and, finally, in the third one, you can see the final research I did for my thesis, about the use of unsustainable building materials in Ethiopia.
The master, promoted by Politecnico di Milano and Consorzio Poliedra, aims to meet the growing demand for design experts capable of facing the challenging contexts of the Global South, through a multidisciplinary and design-oriented approach to promoting effective strategies for urban and regional development, both in environmental and social terms.
