PIL Urges Gujarat High Court to Direct a Clean-Cut Policy on Wildlife Published by abhishek on May 3, 2021

As the human-wildlife con몭ict rose in Gir National Park, Gujarat, wildlife activists have urged Gujarat High Court to direct a clean-cut policy. A retired IFS o몭cer was the key person for this activity as he convinced other wildlife activists to appeal for the clean-cut policy. Besides this polity, the Gujarat High Court also ordered to prepare a new management plan.

The retired IFS o몭cer, DM Naik, had 몭led a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in August 2020 along with Mayank Bhatt, a wildlife activist, and Ramesh Raval, a retired teacher. Then the court sent notices to the respondent in September 2020. And the forest department o몭cials were included there. However, the court has not 몭led any a몭davit yet.
