GILROY GIVES! $1,070,595 We are blessed with wonderful donors, board members, volunteers and community partners. Madonna High and Gavilan College in the amounts of Grants ~ $418,595 Scholarships ~ $652,000 With assets in excess of $10 million, the Foundation is proud that all our donors are local residents, who believe in “Give Where You Live”. We are fortunate as a community to have individuals and families that want to continue to improve the lives of those around us. A heartfelt thank you to all that have given, are giving and will continue to give of their time, money and resources. We could not be where we are today without you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our vision is to facilitate public and private financial support in order to grow our endowment, thereby increasing grant giving. I am pleased to tell you about the following accomplishments the Foundation has had in the past year: • Added 4 Non Profit Partnership Funds: o Gilroy Rotary Club Endowment General Fund o Gilroy Rotary Club Endowment Baksa Family Fund o Gilroy Rotary Club Endowment Goldsmith Scholarship Fund o Gilroy Rotary Club Endowment Susan B. Seledon Scholarship Fund • Added a Designated Fund: o Al and Bunny Filice Fund which benefits the Gilroy Museum • Added a Field-of-Interest Fund: o Elan Family Investments Youth Fund whose annual payout will benefit our Competitive Grants Program with a grant going to an organization for fee assistance. • Added a Donor-Advised Fund: o Katie McKinley Memorial Fund This past year, we completed our largest Community Project to date – the Don Christopher Sports Complex at Christopher High School. The Gilroy Foundation was honored to be the Christopher Family’s liaison with the Gilroy Unified School District to manage this $4 million project. In addition, we handled the donation for security cameras at Gilroy High School and Solarsano Middle School for Don & Karen Christopher. It’s been a very rewarding year!
