Dear Gillispie Families, Welcome to Gillispie Summer Explorers, where adventure and learning go hand in hand!
Offering an exciting Early Childhood Camp for students ages 2-5 and a diverse array of Elementary Camp classes for children in Grades K-6, we invite all Gillispie students enrolled in the 2025-26 school year to join us for a summer program filled with exploration and discovery.
At Gillispie Summer Explorers, we offer a wide range of activities and adventures including sports, arts & crafts, cooking, engineering, theater, swimming, and more! Our camp is designed to provide children with unique summer experiences that will allow them to explore, create, and learn new things in a safe and nurturing environment, keeping your children engaged and excited all summer long.

Early Childhood & Elementary Camp Hours
Half-Day: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Drop-off: 8:45 - 9:00 a.m.
Pick-up: 12:00 - 12:15 p.m.
Full-Day: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Drop-off: 8:45 - 9:00 a.m.
Pick-up: 3:00 - 3:15 p.m.
All campers need to bring healthy snacks daily. Elementary students enrolled in full-day camp and all Early Childhood students need to pack a lunch daily.
Uniforms are not required. Students need to wear socks and sneakers to camp daily. Children can change into sandals for water play and swim camp.
Camps will run only if there is adequate enrollment. If the minimum class size is not met, a full refund will be given. A refund of 100% of the tuition for any class may be obtained for requests made before May 15, 2025, and a refund of 75% of the tuition for any class may be obtained for requests made 2 weeks before the class start date. After that time, no refunds will be issued. Refunds will be issued at a prorated rate for any cancellations deemed necessary by the School.
Fees are prorated for holidays.
Families with three or more children enrolled in the same session will receive a 10% discount.
All grade levels listed refer to the grade the student will be entering in August 2025. Conduct expectations are outlined on our website at gillispie.org/current-families. Gillispie reserves the absolute right to disenroll a student at any time for any reason.
Our Early Childhood camp is designed to provide a fun and engaging environment for young children to construct their own understanding of the world around them. We believe that children are natural learners who thrive in an environment that allows them to explore and discover at their own pace. Gillispie Explorers gives early childhood campers the summer version of our hands-on learning program that happens during the school year. Children will spend plenty of time outdoors, sparking curiosity with engaging provocations including sensory play, dramatic play, creative art projects, and refreshing water play. Camp staff are all current Gillispie teachers who continue to nurture the learning journey of each child. Our experienced and caring teachers are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive community where children feel valued and supported.
Parents can expect to receive a detailed welcome letter before the start of each session. The following items will be requested: swimsuit & towel, sunscreen, lunch & snacks, sheet or blanket, change of shoes & clothing.
To participate, students must be two years old by the first day of camp and enrolled in the Early Childhood program at Gillispie for the 2025-26 school year. Sessions will take place in the Littles Cottage.

In this ultimate Pokémon adventure, campers will embark on a thrilling journey through the Pokémon universe. From exploring vibrant regions to learning about the incredible Pokémon that inhabit them, this camp is perfect for both beginners and seasoned trainers alike. Kids will learn the rules of the Pokémon card game, create their own Pokémon decks, and compete in friendly matches with fellow campers. With personalized card sets and folders, each participant will join fluid groups based on age, ability, and interest as they work to CATCH 'em ALL! Campers will pack a lunch and stay for the day, enjoying a mix of creative crafts, awesome activities, and fun field games on our beautiful Gillispie campus. Students should pack a swimsuit and towel on Fridays, as the camp cools down with wet and wild water fun!
Campers will pack a lunch and stay for an afternoon of swimming at the pool! Starting with a walk to the Coggan Family Aquatic Complex, kids will be grouped by ability and receive expert swimming lessons from Coggan’s swim instructors. After their lessons, campers will make a splash enjoying free swim time in the pool, with certified lifeguards ensuring a safe and fun environment. The camp day ends with a walk back to Gillispie for a little play time before pickup. Swimmers should wear their swimsuits to camp and bring towels, sandals, sunscreen, and goggles.

Through Swift-inspired games and activities, they’ll make Enchanted memories with fellow fans. Whether they’re designing, dancing, or just celebrating their love for Taylor, this camp is The Best Day for any young Swiftie and will leave them saying, I Wish You Would let me stay longer! Explorers: A Taste
Young adventurers will journey across continents, immersing in the vibrant cultures, traditions, and flavors of faraway places. Through hands-on activities, they’ll sample delicious foods from Mexico, create colorful artwork inspired by India, and learn traditional games played by children around the world. Along the way, they’ll hear fascinating stories, pick up new words in different languages, and gain a deeper appreciation for global diversity. This engaging camp blends cooking, art, music, and storytelling to spark curiosity and open young minds to the wonders of our world. Campers will pack a lunch and stay for the day, enjoying a mix of creative crafts, awesome activities, and fun field games on our beautiful Gillispie campus. Students should pack a swimsuit and towel on Fridays, as the camp cools down with wet and wild water fun!
Super Swimmers, Grades K-6
Campers will pack a lunch and stay for an afternoon of swimming at the pool! Starting with a walk to the Coggan Family Aquatic Complex, kids will be grouped by ability and receive expert swimming lessons from Coggan’s swim instructors. After their lessons, campers will make a splash enjoying free swim time in the pool, with certified lifeguards ensuring a safe and fun environment. The camp day ends with a walk back to Gillispie for a little play time before pickup. Swimmers should wear their swimsuits to camp and bring towels, sandals, sunscreen, and goggles.
In this ultimate Pokémon adventure, campers will embark on a thrilling journey through the Pokémon universe. From exploring vibrant regions to learning about the incredible Pokémon that inhabit them, this camp is perfect for both beginners and seasoned trainers alike. Kids will learn the rules of the Pokémon card game, create their own Pokémon decks, and compete in friendly matches with fellow campers. With personalized card sets and folders, each participant will join fluid groups based on age, ability, and interest as they work to CATCH 'em ALL! Students are welcome to register for more than one Pokémon camp though some activities may be repeated.
