Over 1000 horses have gone through our sale so far. From the very start we have told people exactly what they are and what we have done with them, we still do to this day. Due to the fact that I’m not getting any younger, we have branched out and added some exceptional cowboys that have been training some of our horses. They are handy and know their way around a horse. We also have top end consignors that are appreciated. New to the sale this year are mares and foals. We are excited with our new adventure. We are proud of what we do and that’s why we do it.

Anyone who sees Del likes him. A gentle gelding, excellent foot and rich grey color. He has had daily rides and been to 4 branding. Bill Littau has been using him and is staring to rope slow steers. Confirmation, good attitude and looks complete the package.

Wheeler is an outstanding 3 year old. Started this last winter, he is now under Resch Noble training, he will be getting a lot of ranch miles and expert handling. One look at Wheeler he grabs your attention. We are very high on this youngster. A top end gelding.

Good looking with a wonderful mindset. Ace travels out straight and is soft to ride. Austin Dow put a good start on Ace this winter. Resch noble is giving him a good dose of ranch work. His disposition is admired by both. Catch him anywhere and go to work.
Bugs Bar Bonanza
Twitch is a handsome 6 year old. He sold in our sale last year, three months down the road Twitch was more horse than his new owner wanted so he ended up back home. Bill Littau is riding him daily, Bill will be heading steers sale day. Twitch is a horse, 20 years ago would have been my main go to. Zero buck wants to be your friend with a big motor.
Ferguson is a likeable 5 year old. He was started as a two year old and has been here since. Bill littau has been training him with outside riding and lesson in the roping box. Bill will be healing off him sale day. Fergi is a good little using horse.
Ranger is a 15.2hh eye appealing 5 yr old. Strong made easy to work with. Ranger was started as a 3 yr old, Kayo has taken him for more training. Check out the foot and bone on this guy, he is made to last. Big and handsome!

Cracker is a in your pocket 2 year old with good timber under him and a kind mind. Kayo Toews is starting this one. Kayo and Cory have a little competition as to see who can do the best work on these young colts. We are the beneficiaries.
Ike is a float over the ground 2 yr old with a classy look to him. Bill Littau, another top end trainer will be giving Ike a good education. Good looks and good attitude in one package.

Pepsi is a well put up 2 year old. Standing at 15.2hh he is going to have some size. Cory Wiebe is going to start him. It’s important to get a young horse off on the right foot and Cory is a top hand. Pepsi has the look of a high dollar gelding.

Theodore Shwaluk called me with mares fore sale. Our daughter Shayna and I were looking to get more. He let us pick from his herd, we came out with big feminine gals nice to work around with lots of volume. AQHA registration on colts are pending. Mares and Colts will be sold separately and we will keep both til mid September

Big motor, big heart, and built to get the job done. Hawk is a 2016 palomino gelding standing 16HH with all the
bone, foot, and strength you could ask for. He’s been my main mount this summer for branding, doctoring, and checking community pasture—and he hasn’t missed a beat. He’s an easy mover with a smooth, fast walk and a great lope. Hawk covers country with ease and handles a day’s work like a pro. He’s easy to catch, loads and hauls well, stands great for the farrier, and is up to date on teeth and deworming.With his size, power, and drive, Hawk is best suited to a confident rider. He’s got a big motor and a big work ethic to match.
Rummy is a nice ranch broke mare. Been used in the branding pen. Along with in the pasture. Nice easy moving mare that is really nice to be around. And handy enough to get any job done in the arena or out in the open.

Jess is a grade three year old that stands 15.2. A hard working gelding. Big mover, walks out fast like he’s ready to work. Seen lots of creeks and gopher holes while moving cattle. Jess is a fancy bay gelding that will fill out from here on.
Smart N Peppy Badger
Paco is a 6 year old gelding that stands at 14.2HH. He is a quick footed, agile, and athletic horse. Paco has been used calving cows, moving pairs out, dragging calves in the branding pen, pasture doctoring, and moving and gathering large groups of cattle. We took Paco out to the mountains trail riding last summer and he was happy to walk along the trail. There is not much this horse has not seen. He has a big motor for a little horse and will go all day for you.
Sage is a solid ranch mare. Was started as a 4yrld and spent last summer and this year in community pasture. Good to be around and solid on a rope. Been to lots of brandings good with all the action. Gentle, descent to catch, good with feet. Call Craig for more info.
Duke is a striking 10 year old Bay gelding. He is quiet and has great foot and bone with a heavy build. He has been to the mountains, is rock solid in the branding pen, and excels at all aspects of ranch work. This is a horse that you really enjoy riding all day. Family horses in their prime like Duke, don’t get sold very often.

Roy is a stylish 6 year old strawberry red roan gelding. Roy has done all aspects of ranch work and is a treat to ride and catch. He is extremely athletic and really watches cattle. What makes Roy truly special is that you can speed him up or slow him down depending on the level of rider that is on him, making him suitable for all members of the family.
Max is a 3 year old AQHA gelding we purchased out of the Bar Heart Sale as a yearling and has developed nicely. This horse’s strongest asset is his gentle and friendly demeanor. He is eager to learn and wants to please. Max has been easy to start and has put on miles sorting pairs and checking cows

Swifty is a flashy 5 year old mare that stands 14.3 HH with a nice head. She is very quick and athletic with a willingness to learn. Will work best for an experienced rider.
Major was started as a calf horse, bought when he was 9 and used for all aspects of ranch work, branding, doctoring, sorting, bull roping, etc. This guy is bomb proof with lots of exposure to kids of all ages riding him, and still has lots of gas left in the tank for a full day of work. Wears an 0 shoe on the front and 00 hinds.

Jesse is 2017 bay gelding that stands 14.3 hh . He has good muscle and bone with a nice hip. He is quick
athletic and sure footed. He spent the 1st part of his life growing up here in the badlands coulee’s at the ranch , waiting patiently for me to get him started. He has been ridden extensively on trails, crossing water, bridges, and halter breaking colts . We have been lightly roping on him and he has lived up to his pedigree. He will make a nice head/heel horse, ranch horse, or gymkhana gelding, the type of horse you can ranch on then load up and go to a jackpot.
HEART RANCH
Daughter Shayna and I were looking for a stud that had proven blood lines and a broke performance horse. We found Smoothy. Hes a 15hh 13 year old red roan stallion. A wonderful
disposition, and his offspring are very trainable. Smoothie is a gentleman with the mares but gets the job done. His sire is over $500000 in earnings and his dam over $250000. Smoothie hadnt seen the competition ring for 5 years, Austin Dow took him to Airdrie cutting competion and won the ranch cutting with a score of 72 this spring. Smoothie has a great undercarriage with lots of foot and bone. We will be standing Smoothie here at the ranch.
