MasterGolf Championship Overview
The MasterGolf Championship is a Veteran golf event that uses the USGA Handicap system plus several age groups to determine the type and amount of flights to set up for the tournament. These flights are used to select the players for each of the 40 or more courses into flights of 72 to 90 players per course. They all will play qualifying rounds on four different courses to determine flight winners and ties. They are then selected to play the final two Championship rounds to award the winner and three other places with MasterGolf Championship trophies, gift certificates, and Championship Golf bags. They also win a tournament exemption for the next year without having to pay their registration fee. The event will start off with a Kick-off party followed the next morning of competition on golf courses all over the Phoenix Valley. Every night, the players and a guest can come to our unique food & drink and entertainment area; the Eagles Nest, Heroes on Mainstreet. This area will have fun and exciting golf competition events, a gourmet food & drink court, golf expo, VIP Hospitality Club Lounge area, and Grand Bandstand are where National, Regional, and Local music artist and bands will play every night.
3 A 170 ft blimp will fly above and oversee the events starting from the kick-off party, during qualifying rounds all over the Valley, nightly over the Eagles Nest, and during the final Championship rounds broadcasting live TV shots of the event. More than 3,000 Veterans and their spouses will show up to play and compete. They must have a current USGA handicap to play and pay their registration fee. Special travel packages are available for early-bird registrants that will include flight, hotel/resort, practice rounds, and in some packages, additional lifestyle benefits such as spa services and restaurant discounts. Each participant will receive a gift bag with a value of at least $500, plus their schedule and course selection, badges, and a copy of the Rules and Regulations for the event. The MasterGolf Championship will be televised by The Golf Channel, local NBC Channel 12, and Livestream Internet broadcast. Radio broadcast, both station and online through various channels on the iHeart Radio network. Broadcast will be two (2) hours every day plus a “Sports Center” style Highlights Show every day after each round of golf. Additional posts online in all social media sites will add to distribution of information about the event as well as sponsors who are involved and support the MasterGolf Championship. Our marketing reach prior to the event will touch more than 10 million unique visitors and listeners; who will view various marketing videos, social media posts and ads, full-page ads in every military newspaper, direct mail, inserts, billboards, base movie theater ads, radio ads, and television ads 6 weeks prior to event launch date. The entire marketing campaign will be managed by a well-known event marketing company that specializes in “Top Level” golf events. The MasterGolf Championship is designed to raise funds for selected beneficiaries who will provide homes, renovate homes, and give scholarships to disadvantaged and disabled veterans. It will also provide funding for the A.L.I.V.E. program that saves veterans from suicide.
