It is held under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Omar Razzaz Prime Minister of Jordan, organized by the Gibran Chair for Values and Peace at the University of Maryland and funded by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) at the U.S. State Department. WPP is a two-year project implemented by May Rihani and her staff at the Gibran Chair to promote Arab women’s leadership and gender-inclusive policies working with three partners: in Morocco in North Africa with JossourFFM; in Jordan in the Levant with World of Letters; and in Kuwait in the Gulf with Abolish153. With their WPP partners, the project supports women leaders in amplifying their voices on issues important to them.
