The Medical College of Georgia, GRU’s founding school, offers clinical training at more than 135 sites across Georgia to ensure students experience the full spectrum of medicine, from tertiary/quaternary care hospitals to small-town solo practices. The educational experience is anchored by MCG’s main campus in Augusta as well as regional clinical campuses and a four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. Research initiatives focus on illnesses that affect most Georgians and Americans, such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. Clinical service also targets the diverse needs of the state and nation, from frontline wellness care to complex care for the sickest adults and children.
