ONE DAY IN WONDERLAND Assembly
Written by: Makenna Liming
An exciting spirit week, an assembly to remember, and a Glendale football win could only mean one thing: Homecoming. Cabinet’s shift in traditions for this iconic week led to many memories the student body gets to reflect on. Caelyn Rudy (12) said, “I loved how everyone participated this year. Everyone seemed so involved and excited for the game and dance. Which made it so fun to be a part of.” The homecoming assembly consisted of many games and activities based on Wonderland, the theme for the dance. This included a game of tug-of-war, with the losers getting slimed as a punishment. Saul Spurgeon (12), a participant on the losing team, says, “Getting slimed was pretty fun. I don’t recommend it, but if I had to do it again I definitely would.” When Spurgeon was asked was asked how he felt about his last homecoming day, he said, “I couldn’t have had a more fun experience, and ending homecoming night with a football win was a great way to complete the day.’”

With her vibrant personality and dedication to our school through her role as student body president, Adalynn Miller (12) continues to serve the school community through her countless contributions and unwavering support for the people around her. In return, Glendale High School students nominated her for the title of homecoming queen. Miller explains her time on court by saying, “I had so much fun, and I was able to make friends with the other girls, especially the seniors when we made the promotional video.” Miller continues, “I was really nervous when we started walking on the field, but when I found I won, it was so surreal. I was extremely grateful for all of the support.
