is a women’s brand founded by Ghita Raihani in 2023, based in Paris, France.
The brand is a fusion of traditional and modern fashion styles, with a focus on creating elegant and feminine silhouettes using traditional Moroccan fabrics.
This is the story of a Moroccan girl that dreams about a future where girls in her country could dress freely.
A girl that was born and raised her whole life in morocco. There, is where she feels home and where her heart belongs, where she feels the safest, ironically. Ironically because she is not free to be the woman she wants, to dress as she would like to, without being scared of being harassed in the streets.
Going from very old traditions, and creating very modern silhouettes.
This is what has inspired this womenswear fall/winter collection. Raising the issue of women’s rights, this collection offers very feminine silhouettes but that still respects the mores of the society. A correlation between sexy and modest, between transparency and roughness. It’s about changing the codes of the society by using its own tools, its own culture, its own language and techniques.
A back and forth between the past and the future.
This collection is fully black and white with some dark brown shades, in reference of the girl’s safest place, which is her dad’s family pictures. The cuts are very loose and in an oversized style, to keep a link with moroccan’s fashion codes, only using very traditional fabrics, as stripped woven wool, leather, suede etc… However, the leather pieces are added to mark the silhouettes of the body, to make it more feminine.
Renew the mores of a society like the one in Morocco, without offending, without provoking, or maybe just a little.
Ghita Raihani, founder of the brand, chooses the name as a nod to her Amazigh heritage and culture. In Amazigh language, Amanar means «guide,» representing the brand’s mission to guide and empower women to express their identity through fashion. The name also symbolizes Amanar’s role in guiding the Moroccan fashion industry towards modernization and inclusivity. It also means «guiding star», which justify the little star on the logo.
