Jeremy Klein from our preengineered division secured $15k in repairs to vehicle systems at Powerton Station.
NEW INSPECTION LEADS TO REPAIR SERVICE SALES
An inspection for Shelby County Energy 8 Gas Turbine Facility lead to $40K in repair services for issues the previous provider failed to correct.
EXPANDED CONTRACT WITH CORRECTIONAL
We secured a kitchen fire protection system contract with East Moline Correctional where we are currently completing a fire alarm installation.
NEW INSPECTION LEADS TO REPAIR SERVICE SALES
Our Rockford team secured a six year maintenance contract totaling $11K to service 4 paint booths with 33 cylinders
We have received the honor of being named an ANSUL “Triple” Diamond Distributor based on sales performance, a distinction that less than 20% of ANSUL distributors achieve. Getz will be presented with the Award, and receive a premium position on ansul.com
Our systems teams sold and completed a multi building fire alarm project for U of I that involved complex design work totalling $337K. John Pedersen took the lead navigating a difficult bid package, then turned it over to Installation/Design. And then each designer tackled one of the buildings that were part of the project, truly making this a team effort!
The Innovators team in Pekin has completed builds for five Vans, 3 Cutaways, 1 Trailer and 6 Customer Supplied units.
Getz Innovators successfully fulfilled another big Military order for Noble Supply on May 23rd, which totaled $198,359 in equipment.
We had 74% participation in our annual survey, which is an increase of 26% over last year. Thanks to all those who provided feedback! Our Net Promoter Score increased from 25 to 45. There was a lot of positive feedback as well as ratings and comments showing where attention for improvement is needed.
Whatisthenonamers
The No-Namers was formed to connect like-minded, independent fire equipment companies in ways that will help each other be successful. They share best practices, technical advice, and offer access to vendors and discounted rates.
Wherewastheconference?
The group hosts an annual conference that brings members together for two days of networking and education. This year the conference as hosted in Montclair, New Jersey from April 21st to 23rd.
Whatdidyoudo?
We discussed best practices and problems we have as individual companies, sharing what works best and learning new ideas. We also got to have a dinner cruise around Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.

We discussed everything from sales to service to marketing to hiring to accounting and more.

We had some great takeaways including simple ideas like Air Tags for equipment, to weightier topics such as handling AFFF Foam sales, inspections and disposal.
An improperly installed suppression system was preventing a new restaurant from opening until Getz saved the day! The contractor was referred by the local Fire Marshall after their new system failed on its final test. The kitchen could not operate until corrections were verified, so Jeff Warren worked to correct the issues quickly, so they could get up and running.
Bill Hand came upon a car accident moments after the vehicle was flipped upside down. He dialed 911 before calling Steve Hough who has spent 37 years with the Morton Fire Department for direction. They were able to confirm that there were no major injuries and stayed until first responders arrived.
Brandon Zimmerman spotted a piglet walking down I-72, and pulled over to rescue him from the busy road. Brandon called police, and entertained the little guy with fire extinguishers and donuts. Authorities were able to flag down the livestock truck and return him home.
AG SAFETY DAYS
Jeremy Deege taught kids fire extinguisher skills at Ag Safety Days in Lewis County, Mo.

Josh Fleming hosted a fire
Bonnie officially retired August 26th after 18 years with a small celebration to honor her last day.
Steve retired as Division Manager on August 2nd after more than 32 years with the company.
Jason Floming, Steve Hough, Chris McCance, Robert Getz and Jesse Getz attended the NAFED 2024 conference in New Orleans. East Coast Rep, Alan Bruce represented Getz at the NAFED Conference in Atlantic City, NJ.
