AUTUMN OPI sets the record straight for Get it on what’s trending this season at a beauty counter near you...
Colour trends for Autumn/Winter 2013 include • Grey, both light sophisticated grey, and a darker slate grey • Olympic Blue (eg. OPI UnforGretaBly Blue, pictured) • Emerald green - notably, scored Pantone 2013 colour of the year! (eg. OPI Jade is the New Black, pictured) • Earth tones such as dark taupes • Vampire red, dark burgundy and dark ruby red shades • Gold tip nails • Metallic shimmer nails (eg. OPI A Woman’s Prague-ative, pictured) Nail Art continues to be popular. Some of the trends for 2013 include sparkling overlay or real gold flake overlays, two-tone French Manicure using matte nails with glossy tips, sideways French Manicures or racing stripes, as well as a customised French Manicure using nail APPs to create your own individual nail tips. Additional trends include Half Moon manicures (using metallic shades), Nude Foundation nails (select a shade that is slightly lighter or darker than your skin tone, more of a beige or taupe). Creamy lacquers are more in fashion, and marbling is also fun and can be easily done at home. OPI in particular is excited to introduce a new ‘Liquid Sand’ formula, which dries to a ‘pebbled’ effect leaving a sparkling textured finish with fine glitter particles. More at opi.net.au.
