What does a degree in B.Tech entail?

There are numerous exciting and lucrative career options in India. In our country, Bachelor of Technology degree is a professional engineering undergraduate degree that’s given to students who complete four years of academic study in engineering field. There is an enormous obsession among students for this field of study globally. B.Tech is a 4 year full-time undergraduate course that offers specialisations in various disciplines. However, the duration of B.Tech courses varies from country to country. The most common fields of engineering in India are: Civil Engineering that encompasses planning, construction and maintenance of structures like buildings, roads, stadiums, dams etc.; Mechanical Engineering, that deals with concepts of Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Robotics, Kinematics, Structural Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Power Sector, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning sector and Aerospace; Computer Science that includes Programming, Software Development, Computer Science etc.; Electrical and Electronics Engineering that deals with designing, developing, testing, and administering the manufacturing of Electrical Equipment, such as Electric Motors, Radar and Navigation Systems etc. Some of the new-age branches of B.Tech include: Aeronautical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automation and Robotics, Chemical Engineering, Robotics Engineering etc. In the last few years, the scope of engineering across all its branches is soaring.
