ST. GEORGE Utah’s Dixie

St. George is easy to get to. Located on the Interstate-15 corridor 300 miles south of Salt Lake City and 120 miles north of Las Vegas, St. George is ideally situated for quick weekend getaways for local travelers and is an ideal hub for tourists visiting the many nearby national parks and recreation areas.

Places to see Within a short drive of St. George are some of the world’s most magnificent parks and recreation areas. Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Lake Powell are all within three hours or less; Zion is less than an hour away. Other places equally as impressive but less known are Snow Canyon State Park, located eight miles from St. George in the town of Ivins, and Red Cliffs Recreation Area, 14 miles northeast of St. George just off the Interstate-15 freeway.
