WaterSense Makes New Updates for Toilets Coming Soon Waves
WaterSense, an EPA-sponsored partnership program, helps consumers make smart water choices that conserve water, energy, and money— without sacrificing performance Products and new homes that earn the WaterSense label are independently certified to use at least 20% less water while performing as well as, or better than, standard models
By upgrading to WaterSense-labeled products, North Americans can collectively save billions of gallons of water each year Raising awareness about these high-efficiency products, and the online tools available to consumers, can help drive more sustainable water use
WaterSense is planning an important update to its consumption requirements for dual-flush toilets Currently, the program allows a full flush of 1 6 gallons and a small flush of 1 1 gallons, with an “effective flush” (the average of two small flushes and one large) totaling 1 28 gallons Under the planned changes, WaterSense will only certify dual-flush toilets with a maximum of 1 28 gallons per flush—even for the full flush
While the original effective date for manufacturers was set for July 1, 2025, WaterSense has announced that this requirement is now on hold, with no new implementation date yet confirmed
Gerber’s Response to the Changes
In anticipation of these future standards, Gerber will proactively adjust its product lineup to accommodate the updated requirements
The only affected SKUs in Gerber’s lineup are the 1 1/1 6 GPF Maxwell® SE Dual Flush tanks and combinations, which will be discontinued before June 30, 2025 As an alternative, new models with a 1 1/1 28 GPF rating will be introduced, maintaining Gerber’s commitment to water efficiency and performance
New tank and combination SKU numbers will be created

Globe Union: The Milim factory team got together for their year-end celebration on Jan 15th The event featured performances by Milim employees, raffle prizes, and great food and drink The performances included dancers, singers, DJs, a magician, and more Company leaders addressed the crowd thanking them for their hard work this past year
In Taiwan, Globe Union employees celebrated with a highly anticipated annual Chinese year-end party, themed "Vintage Style " There were engaging activities, including a dress code segment where participants showcased creative vintage looks and won prizes Guests enjoyed a feast alongside mesmerizing performances, such as a Sichuan opera facechanging act and a captivating magic show The event provided a chance to unwind and celebrate the year’s achievements

WIG Kicks Off the Year with Open House for New Members
The Women in Gerber (WIG) group kicked off 2025 with an engaging open house, welcoming potential new members and sharing their mission to foster growth, confidence, and collaboration
WIG brings together women from across departments, offering workshops, panels, and discussions that promote cross-functional learning and provide opportunities for women to grow together
Celebrating its third anniversary this year, the group continues to champion diverse perspectives and ideas, driving innovation and inclusivity within the organization In previous years, WIG has organized memorable activities such as a tea with Ila Lewis, the granddaughter of Gerber’s founder, a Galentine’s Day celebration, letter-writing for seniors, and more The group has also hosted thought-provoking discussions on topics like time management, navigating change with curiosity, and embracing progress over perfection

Globe Union Volunteers Join Taiwan Hope to Restore a Home
Taiwan Hope Volunteer Group, a non-profit organization in Taiwan, is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their homes and their lives In January 2025, a team of Globe Union volunteers participated in a house-building charity event organized by the group, assisting a single mother in reconstructing her home
After losing their only home to a fire in the summer of 2024, the homeowner, along with her four children and elderly mother, faced an uncertain future Driven by its commitment to environmental responsibility and community support, Globe Union was honored to help provide a safe and stable home for a family in need

WHY AMY LOVES IT: Kristin Hannah is one of my favorite authors, and she has once again delivered a compelling and unforgettable story in The Women True to her style, this book is emotionally heavy, yet deeply moving, and beautifully crafted Hannah captures the strength, resilience, and complexity of women in a way that only she can It’s a story that lingers in your mind and heart long after you’ve turned the last page If you’re a fan of emotional, character-driven narratives, The Women is a must-read While it explores some heavy themes, the journey is undeniably powerful and worth taking
TITLE: "The School for Good Mothers"

WHY REINA LOVES IT: This book combines The Handmaid’s Tale and The Hunger Games This is a dystopian novel where a single mother makes the mistake of leaving her toddler alone for a few hours She gets placed in a government facility where mothers are forced to undergo intense conditioning on how to be a “good mother” to their AI robot child I liked this book because it was thought provoking and had themes of parental guilt and the high standards society places on mothers

WHY ALLISON LOVES IT: Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See is a captivating journey through ancient China, offering rich insights into medicine, the class system, and the lives of women The novel's unique take on feminism and loyalty was both inspiring and haunting, with moments that left me delighted and others that horrified me
Though it started a bit slow, the story quickly became so intriguing that I still think about it constantly months later Lisa See’s vivid storytelling makes this a must-read for fans of history!
