We are pleased to share that Pulte Homes have signed another 3 year agreement with Gerber. This means 3 toilets per new home in over 16k new homes annually.

Organizational Announcements

Gerber Website Makes the Podium As many of you know, our in-house marketing team, in collaboration with our partner Solid Digital, relaunched the Gerber company website in the US and in Canada last fall. Well, it seems customers aren’t the only ones who are liking our work. In fact, the new Gerber website has recently been recognized for its re-design by several leading industry marketing organizations. The MarCom Awards (Platinum), W3 Awards (Silver) and Davey Awards (Silver) have all honored the work this team did collectively. Congratulations to the many Gerber team members who were involved in this important initiative! And, if you haven’t yet spent time on the redesigned site, we hope you will soon.

Prize-worthy Design! Our ID and product teams have amazing news to share! Globe Union has won a product design award for our entry in the 2021 Red Dot Design Competition! The Red Dot Award: Product Design dates back to 1955, and every year it is merited to the year’s best products. Whether aesthetically appealing, functional, smart or innovative, what the award-winning objects have in common is their outstanding design quality. According to the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the jury evaluates the entries and only awards a Red Dot to products that win them over with their high design quality. Gerber Does Good Gerber has had a long standing collaboration with World Vision – for over a decade we have supported their mission closely. The World Vision mission is to support children and families in need locally, as well as globally, tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. This includes clean water, hunger & food security, disaster relief, and more. Their goal is EMPOWER people out of poverty. World Vision states they are “Dangerously soft-hearted. But just the right kind of dangerous.” We believe that our partnership with World Vision has allowed Gerber to become a danger to poverty by: • Providing consistent & significant product donation to The Storehouse program – These product donations are used to build and refurbish homes throughout the US of those affected by disaster or poverty • Participating in The Storehouse School Tools kit building event for over a decade – this program provides school supplies to underserved and underprivileged areas in the US • Participating in the annual Global 6k for Water event – this raises funds to bring clean and potable water for those who need it the most throughout the globe • Crystal Vision Breakfast Sponsorship which is an annual event that raises awareness to helping equip families in the U.S. to lift themselves out of poverty. o In 2019 we received the Partnership Award o In 2010 we received the Crystal Vision Award We are proud to say that not just Gerber, but our whole industry, has stepped to support the World Vision mission throughout the Covid Impact. By the Book BOOK: T hink Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don’t Know AUTHOR: Adam Grant RECOMMENDED BY: Jennifer Hulick, Customer Care Manager Why Jennifer Loves It: This book encourages us to welcome disagreement and not surround ourselves with only like-minded people because if we do that, how will we continue to grow and learn? Being wrong is okay. Not knowing is okay. Admitting and respecting this does not show weakness, but actually demonstrates humility and strength. Given how divided we are as a people, I challenge us all to stop and rethink some of our beliefs and “truths” and we may find we have more in common than we initially thought. (And he was able to get die hard YANKEE fans to root for the RED SOX!!)

In Memoriam – Chuck Rao Chuck was owner of long-standing Gerber representative agency RMI (Richmond Marketing, Inc). He started the company in 1990 with his wife, Rebecca, and has led a devoted team to help represent various brands in plumbing, commercial/mechanical, fireline, irrigation and others. Under Chuck’s leadership, RMI joined the Gerber family as a loyal and respected sounding board and resource during the initial years of launching the previous Danze brand, integrating the Gerber brand into the Globe Union family and much more. Rebecca and their son, Thomas, will proudly move forward with that same service and attention in which they have come to be known. “Every conversation had with Chuck started with a personal discussion of how you and your family were doing,” says Keith Yurko, CEO of Globe Union’s North America Group. “He genuinely cared. And, the same held true about his business and partners. He cared.
