Artist United Event

Allison Sanchez-Claudio is currently holding her senior art show exhibition, in the James Earl Carter Library Gallery on campus at Georgia Southwestern State University. The exhibition, entitled “Míralas”, which means “look at them” in Spanish, centers around Sanchez-Claudio’s Mexican heritage and celebrates both her childhood and Mexican culture, while dismantling harmful stereotypes about the Mexican community. The opening reception was held November 9th, 2021, complete with complimentary home cooked, authentic, Mexican tamales, rice, and pico de gallo for gallery viewers. Exciting, upcoming Artist United events include senior exhibitions held by Amber Moore and Josh Morgan.
