Glass Blowing Gallery: Kendall Hodges
by Talik Hill, Staff Writer
Ms. Hodges uses the glass forming method known as glass blowing to create her artwork, which includes recycling glass shards that have previously fallen on the floor from past student projects into bigger pieces, giving the art a hidden redeeming quality.

“With all of my art, my end goal is usually that people are capable of finding some connection in a color or a shape or a movement in the piece, and then they can connect that back to a memory or maybe it makes them feel a certain way but my hope is that they then turn to the viewer next to them to maybe have a conversation like ‘Oh! This reminds me of my aunt’s couch color when I was a child’ or maybe whatever it may be.”
