print work
I’m Georgia and i’m a creative designer with a varied background in point of sale, packaging, graphic and print, industrial, home interiors and heritage!
Botany, crafts, wildlife and photography are passions of mine and I indulge in film and music in my spare time. The cinema is my second home and I am frequently shuffling between blues, folk, jungle, footwork, indie and soul music. Sheffield is my current area of residence and has been on & off for 3 years now - originally coming from Mansfield, this impressionable city has grabbed a hold of my tiny-town heart with both hands and given me a big ol’ hug.
I have been working in design-related positions and businesses for 5 years now and would describe myself as an open-minded, multi-disciplinary, experienced creative designer with a desire to help, learn and question.
point-of-sale / gifting / interiors
My most recent design role used 3DS Max with Corona plug-in to create real istic and life-size exhibition stands, packaging, beauty installations/takeovers and display units across multiple industries such as beauty, healthcare, food and fitness. Prior to this I used Virtual Worlds (bathroom specific 3D software) and Sketchup for interiors - all of which are familiar to me now having spent un-thinkable amounts of time tweaking lighting, adjusting material reflec tions/textures and attempting to model to perfection in these programs.
product design / mechanical engineering
2021 - 2023 were the years of my journey into Solidworks and management as Head of Design at interactive specialists Aivaf Ltd. Here I learnt the ropes of the software and taking models from concept to production; breaking down models into part/assembly models and exporting layouts and files for production e.g. machining/CNC/lasercut/scenic work
I volunteered for in-house artwork on the Showtown Museum project (Blackpool) and applied my Photoshop & Illustrator skills aswell as my mechanical and project knowledge to the task! I worked on the project as a lead so had built strong relationships with the clients and external contractors who were also on the project, so I enjoyed cracking on with the work and experimenting with different materials and styles.
