Turn Data Into Decisions and Lead the Future of Business

Georgetown University’s STEM-designated Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) prepares future-ready professionals to lead in a world shaped by data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Offered in two flexible formats—full-time, in-person in Washington, D.C., or part-time, online —the MSBA allows you to learn the same curriculum in a format that meets your individual needs. Additionally, students who begin the full-time program have the flexibility to transition to the online program if their plans change.*

Drive Value-Based Decisions

Get the training you need in advanced business analytics to become a data translator with the technical abilities, business knowledge, and soft skills to thrive in the analyst role of your choice.

In Georgetown’s MSBA, you’ll study under renowned faculty who train value-based leaders on how to be key in their sector or team function with a blend of knowledge from business and technical coursework. Study marketing, finance, and leadership alongside programming, natural language processing, machine learning, and more. Gain the ability to run and understand code, and know how the predictive modeling and aspects of machine learning used in AI systems work.

By graduation, you can structure problems, obtain and manage data, apply analytical tools and methods, and generate insights that enhance business value.

*Transition requests require approval. Students on a student visa are not eligible to switch from in-person to online modality.

Experience Premier Learning

Learning within a cohort means you benefit from small class sizes, team-based projects, and the diverse experiences of your classmates and professors, building strong relationships that last well beyond graduation.

Capstone Project

Your capstone project gives you the opportunity to apply the new conceptual knowledge and technical skills you acquired during the program to a sponsored project. You’ll prepare, organize, and transform data to apply appropriate analytical methods so you can complete a real-world, data-based project. Additionally, the capstone emphasizes the extraction of managerial insights and supports informed decision-making in addressing the identified problem.
