The MiM program provides students with skills that make them attractive, well-rounded professional candidates.

I came in with limited experience in quantitative fields, but left feeling comfortable in these subject areas.

I also enhanced my soft skills through countless experiential learning exercises. MiM enabled me to feel comfortable walking into any business setting with confidence.”

Student Life

Building Community

In the MiM program, we are purposeful about building community. From team activities and cohort gatherings to McDonough-wide organizations, we help students make connections that enhance their co-curricular experience.

Within the program, students have opportunities to take leadership roles and spearhead classwide activities. Most notable among these are two student-run organizations, our Service Committee and the Culture & Community Committee.

The Service Committee creates programming and activities that fulfill our Jesuit mission of being women and men for others by organizing activities that serve the entire McDonough community while raising funds for good causes.

The Culture & Community Committee provides an opportunity for students to build leadership skills while organizing fun activities for their classmates outside the classroom. Between planning happy hours, socials, and physical activities, the Culture & Community Committee is all about creating a sense of place for all students.

Outside the program, students have dozens of career, cultural, and social clubs at their fingertips through the Graduate Student Organization, some of which are housed at McDonough through the MBA program. The MiM community actively helps students to connect with others and form bonds that last long past their time at McDonough.

Nadia Milman (MiM’22)

B.A., Psychology and Spanish, University of Virginia

The cohort experience was my favorite part of the MiM program. Not only have I made life-long friends, but I have learned immensely from my peers that come from different backgrounds and experiences. Working with such diverse people who I now call my close friends allowed me to think from different perspectives and consider many sides to an issue.

“ ”

It was a new experience for me having a dedicated careers team, and I felt so supported throughout the process. We were encouraged to set a ‘gameplan’ at the beginning of the term, and it made the career search so much less daunting because I had small steps and ‘wins’ that were easy to track and follow.
